Chuckanut IV

Another Chuckanut challenge awaited our team—a very steep slope with extremely sandy soil and, of course, the ever-grazing deer.

A concrete wall helped define and soften the steep slope which was planted with deer resistant, drought tolerant plants and in the fall is ablaze with color.

A dry stream added visual interest along the entry walk and a stone terrace became the center of interest on top of the drain field.
